Job Description:

Position Summary The Controller is responsible for managing and overseeing the company's accounting and financial objectives and processes, using independent judgement, strong time management and analytical skills, attention to detail, and solid communication abilities to address various business and accounting issues, make recommendations and share financial and accounting data with the Executive team.The ideal candidate will be experienced in all aspects of accounting and finance to ensure the financial wellbeing of the company. Primary Objectives Manage the Finance and Accounting operations under the leadership of the Chief Executive Officer. Act as the thought leader for Finance and Accounting Department, providing roadmap for growth to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and related internal controls. Foster communications between Finance and Accounting department and departmental leadership. Manage and lead special projects as may be assigned. Responsibilities _Duties include but are not limited to the following: _ Essential function(s)_Accounting Operations_ Perform monthly analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements, credit cards and all general ledger accounts Reviewing and maintaining general ledger accounts, preparing, and adjusting journal entries as necessary Posting monthly, quarterly, and yearly accruals Perform analytical review of monthly results to ensure accurate accounting be able to explain results Assess, identify, and resolve accounting issues timely Oversee day-to-day banking operations and treasury management Performs additional related duties as assigned and required to support proper reporting

Reporting Manage and provide cash flow projections to leadership team Complete preparation of financial statements and management reports in a timely manner Monitor and report monthly operating results against budget Proactively provide guidance and analysis to management team on financial performance and variances to budget or forecast

Growth and Compliance Ensure compliance with GAAP rules and regulations in addition local, state, and federal reporting requirements Identify key risks and implement internal controls to mitigate risks, and related opportunities for internal control improvement and implementation Develop and continually maintain accounting and key operations policies and procedures Conduct ongoing periodic process and internal control evaluations to ensure continuous improvement, streamlining and scaling of processes Proactively manage state and local tax and regulatory filing requirements internally and with external CPA

Strategic Address problem financial issues with leadership team and provide immediate solutions and recommendations Take ownership of prepare and managing annual budget process and updating periodic forecasts Develop reporting dashboards which include both financial and operational metrics pegged to budget Assist the Executive team in special projects as may be necessary Qualifications and Experience Proficient in MS Office with advanced skills in Excel Experience with QuickBooks and other accounting software Knowledgeable in all full cycle accounting activities in accordance with GAAP Proficient in financial statement review and reporting Advanced Accounting Skills Ability to interact with Professionalism internally and externally Ability to maintain focus and complete the task at hand Organized and ability to project manage Ability to handles pressure to meet deadlines Experience in business administration and compliance Excellent verbal communication skills with a good command of the English language Ability to engage in a high-level teamwork environment Detail oriented with advanced self-review skills Education and Certifications Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent experience CPA desired 10+ years of progressive accounting experienceJob Type: Full-timePay: From $120,000.00 per yearBenefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insuranceSchedule: Day shift Monday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate: El Cajon, CA 92020: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Experience: GAAP: 10 years (Preferred)Work Location: One location
