The ancestors of the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation existed
many centuries ago as a community of people---a Tribe living

owns and operates a Casino and a Golf Resort, and owns a number of
other business ventures in the San Diego Region. One attribute that

Job Purpose:
Assists the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis in the
development of financial reports, forecasts, budgets, and ad hoc
analyses to be provided to operational managers and senior
leadership.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
(Note: Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or
changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management at any
time)
Identifies opportunities for increased profitability by compiling
organizational performance data and performance reports with
meaningful metrics, developing a summary of findings and
recommended actions for Management review to maximize
profitability.
Reviews departmental P&L with operators and senior management
providing direction on revenue enhancement, expense mitigation and
strategic initiatives.
Provides daily, weekly, and monthly reporting on property revenue
and expense including labor reporting.
Assists in the development of the annual budget presented to Tribal
Council and Senior Management by collaborating with department
leaders on revenue enhancement and expense mitigation.
Assists in the rollout and maintenance of the FTE and headcount
reporting by using the current reporting with the implementation of
feedback.
Job Specifications:
Education and Experience:
Essential:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business related field
or equivalent experience.
3 years of financial or business analysis and/or strategic planning
experience

Ability to analyze, compile and disseminate complex information in
a clear and concise manner.
Ability to identify trends, opportunities, or deficiencies and

Communication and interpersonal experience, and presentation
experience that allow interactions with business partners.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, and
Excel.
Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations.
Ability to communicate and interact effectively with team
members.
Experience operating independently while leading multiple projects
to completion.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
Ability to understand and follow verbal directives and written
directions.
Ability to accept constructive criticism.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
