CA Salary: $20.00-$23.00/Hr. Express Employment Professionals is
recruiting a 2nd shift Facility Maintenance Technician for School
located in San Juan Capistrano. This is a full-time, Eval to Hire
position paying $20-$23/ Hr. DOE. This position has a stellar
benefits package, perks, and incentives. SCHEDULE: 2nd Shift M-F
3pm-11:30pm, with ability to work on weekends occasionally Job
Summary: As an important member of the school's support staff team,
the Skilled Maintenance Worker work in construction, repair, and
installation material. Responsibilities include: -Knowledge and
experience with minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc. duties -Uses
hand and power tools to measure, cut, and shape wood, drywall, and
related materials to specification. -Uses hand and power tools to
fabricate, install and repair solid surface materials (countertops,
partitions, and wall surfaces). -Cut, patch and repair concrete
flatwork and stucco. -Plans and lays out work from blueprints,
drawings, models, or verbal instructions using a variety of
carpenter's hand tools, portable power tools, and standard
measuring instruments. Maintenance responsibilities include :
-Alter, repair, and construct items including walls, partitions,
counters, doors, window frames, podiums, cabinets, and shelves.
-Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to doors and door
hardware, fences and gates controls. -Patch and repair drywall.
Repairs doors, cabinets, latches, shelves, wall units. -Patch and
repair single ply, built up and clay tile roofing systems. -Paint
interior and exterior surfaces. -Builds cabinets, shelves, wall
units, TV backboards, consoles, work benches, frames. -Delivers and
installs, makes minor repairs of school and office furniture.
-Operate equipment such as scissor lifts and boom lifts. -Assist
and work collaboratively with maintenance, grounds, and custodial
staff to execute a variety of maintenance repairs, facility
requests and custodial cleaning as needed. Position Requirements :
-Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or equivalent,
and any combination equivalent to one (1) year of experience at the
journey-level, preferred. -Valid Class C California driver's
license, required. -Experience working from sketches, plans, and
blueprints, preferred. -Semi-skilled in one or more of the skilled
trades, including finish carpentry, electrical, plumbing, glazing,
cabinetmaking, tile setting and HVAC, preferred. -Experience
working at heights from ladders, scaffolds, and lifts, preferred.
-Ability to lift objects weighing up to 100 pounds with assistance,
