We currently have an exciting opportunity for Engineer, Nuclear Technologies & Materials. With limited direction, this position exercises considerable latitude for initiating and developing solutions for resolving advanced technical engineering problems. Assignments are normally outlined in terms of broad specifications, objectives, possible results anticipated and critical reference points requiring special attention.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESWorks with program management and engineering staff to develop material and/or product solutions that meet the needs of our customers and regulatory bodies. Acts as primary engineering contact with nuclear customers which may include OEM, Energy Suppliers and/or Government Agencies. Performs and/or Supports analysis of performance and modeling data in the context of meeting design requirements and satisfying licensing/qualification challenges. Provides documentation and makes technical presentations as required and may assist in responding to proposals for new or the expansion of existing business opportunities. Will lead cross-functional development teams. Will represent Veridiam at professional organizations. Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information. Will Perform other duties as assigned or required. QUALIFICATIONS

• Typically requires a Bachelors degree, Masters degree in a scientific or related technical field and progressive engineering experience as follows; nine or more years of experience with a Bachelors degree, seven or more years of experience with a Masters degree, or four or more.
• Experience in licensing/qualification process for nuclear reactor concepts and nuclear technologies.
• Experience interacting with the NRC is highly desirable.
• Experience with design of experiments methods is desirable.
• Experience with testing and analysis of composite materials is desirable.
• Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly; apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment; organize, schedule, and coordinate work phases; and determine the appropriate approach at the task level or, with assistance, at the project level to provide solutions to a range of complex problems.
• Must have excellent communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to perform complex tasks in one or more areas; capable of representing the organization as a prime technical contact.
