Job Summary The Mechanic 1 (India/Muti-Foreign component):
performs maintenance on aircraft structure, landing gear, flight
surfaces and controls, hydraulic, engines, avionics, armament, gear
boxes, rotor systems, plane captain qualifications, flight schedule
and operations, ventilation and heating systems and phase and
preservation servicesWorking with foreign
counties/culturesEssential Responsibilities: Repairs and rebuilds
all aircraft systems to include aircraft structure system,
engine/gearbox/rotor system, all avionic systemsBlades and
fuselage, and functional components including rigging, surface
controls, and plumbing and hydraulic units, ensuring hand tools,
power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal
brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills are being used
properly, wire, canon plugs, system avionic boxes, rewire, cockpit
avionics, paint/corrosion on all aircraft systemsReads and
interprets manufacturers' and maintenance manuals, OPNAV 4790,
service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other
specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or
replacing malfunctioning or damaged componentsAlso local GOP,LOI,
PQS, Safety Orders Performs 175-hour, progressive, isochronal,
phase, periodic, and other hourly or calendar inspections, examines
engines for cracked blades and oil leaks, inspects turbine engines
and components for cracks, corrosion, foreign object damage, burned
areas, distortions, security, warping, wear, and missing
segmentsInspects engine turbine blades to detect cracks,
distortion, corrosion, burn-out, security, or breaks, tests engine
operation, using testing equipmentReplace or repair worn or damaged
components, such as generators, alternators, magnetos, fuel
controls, fuel pumps, oil pumps, and engine mounted gearboxes, and
compressor bleed valves using hand tools, gauges, and testing
equipment; removing engine from aircraft, using hoist or crane,
disassembling and inspecting parts for wear, cracks, security, or
other defects, and repairing or replacing defective engine parts
and reassembles and installs engine in aircraftJob duties require
that this Mechanic 1 adjusts, repairs, and replaces electrical
wiring system and aircraft accessories, performs preflight,
thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections, and
miscellaneous duties to include servicing aircraft, including
flushing gearbox, cleaning screens and filters, greasing moving
parts, checking brakes and corrosion prevention of aircraftPerforms
jacking and towing of aircraft, enters in the maintenance records
description of the work performed and verifies the work was
performed satisfactorily; may service engines and airframe
components at line station making repairs, short of overhaul;
required to keep aircraft in safe operating conditionRepairs and
modifies structural, precision, and functional spare parts and
assemblies; and may specialize in engine repairLeadership ability
is required, assign and monitor; Ensure safety procedures are
followed for the following: adjustment, repairs, or replace any
aircraft system and aircraft accessories, performs preflight,
thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections, performs
miscellaneous duties to service aircraft, including flushing
gearbox, cleaning screens and filters, greasing moving parts,
checking brakes and corrosion prevention of aircraftThis is not an
all-inclusive listCoordinate and participate in the jacking and
towing of aircraft, entries into the maintenance records
description of all work performed including safety of flight items
and verifies the work was performed satisfactorily, may
service/inspect/remove/install engine, airframe, electrical,
ordnance components in hanger or flight line, required to keep
aircraft in safe and mission ready operating conditionMust be able
to repair and preform modification of all aircraft system and
assembliesThis is not an all-inclusive list Shall be required to
specialize in one or more areas
engine/airframes/electrical/armament repairMechanic 1 shall be
responsible for other areas of the aircraft that he or she may be
required to fulfill other obligations for aircraft maintenance or

Housekeeping of all areas of work including shop; participate in
FOD programObtain and Maintain Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI),
(minimum requirement) or Quality Assurance Representative

equivalentMinimum of three (3) years actual and recent O level
H-60S/R/F/H Aircraft Maintenance experience or equivalent rotary
aircraft experienceMinimum of three (3) years actual H60 CDI/CDQAR
experience.--- Must be able to obtain and maintain all required
qualifications; In accordance with instructions as outlined in
CNAFINST 4790.2 (series) and Local work site local
instructionsWithin the time frame set by local work site
instructions.--- Will be required to complete minimum of one or
multiple PQS's for classification's qualification (PQS)Personal
qualification standards as needed; for the following,
AM,AD,AE,AT,AO,Plane CaptainPQS and all requirements SHALL be
completed within the allotted time as per work site
instructions.--- Obtain and Maintain Collateral Duty Inspector
(CDI), (minimum requirement) or Quality Assurance Representative
Qualification (QAR), for shop assigned to perform work.--- Must be
able to Build or maintain/manage or if assigned by Site Manger as
program coordinator program in accordance with COMNAVAIRFORINST
47904790 all present and future versions.--- Position: Job
descriptions and responsibilities shall change with changes to US
Navy Mission and needs.--- Must be able to work with foreign
counties/culturesWork side by side with people of different culture
and languages.--- Must be able to work all shiftsFull time
employment; but 40 hour is not guaranteed per-weekWorking hours;
must be able to be flexible, start time and end time will be
dependent on flight schedule and or overall tasking.--- Ability to
read and write and interpret technical data and special operating
instructions is requiredAn in-depth knowledge of the applicable
aircraft is requiredA thorough working knowledge of applicable
technical publication is required.--- Ability to use a computer,
keyboard and mouse printer and be proficient using computer
programs Word, Excel, powerpoint, Outlook, nalcomis/ooma.--- Good
verbal and written skills and leadership ability are required.---
Prior experience with U.SNaval repair maintenance operations on
military aircraft highly preferred.--- Knowledge and use of special
tools/equipment required to perform assigned maintenance tasks is
mandatory.--- Must be able to obtain and maintain a US government
Common Access Card (CAC)Defense Biometric Identification System
(DBIDS), For temporary use only while waiting for CAC.--- Required
to possess and maintain a favorably adjudicated Tier 3 Background
Investigation (Non-Critical Sensitive/IT-II), some positions may
require secret clearance.--- Must be able to obtain and maintain
facility credentials/authorization.--- Must have a valid and
maintain a current state drivers license.--- Must be able to meet
physical requirements associated with and pass any medical
examination requirements.--- Position may require the ability to
pass and maintain a U.SGovernment background security check.---
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.---
