General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Program Manager within our Quick Reaction Capability (QRC) Programs Team located in Poway, CA. This role reports to the Senior MQ-9 Development Program Manager.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: Manage QRC (Quick Reaction Capability) projects with evolving requirements and accelerated timelines to meet customer operational needs.
Independently manage multiple Urgent Services Task Orders (USTO) and Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) development tasks, providing new and/or upgraded capabilities to the customer platform.
Draft, review and approve SOWs, BOEs and proposals to support USTOs, CLS tasks and stand-alone customer contracts.
Lead proposal and program kick-off events and run projects from RFP, proposal, award, execution, deliveries through close out. May be required to execute tasks in parallel with proposal preparations.
Identify and mitigate project cost, schedule, performance, and risks throughout project execution and final delivery.
Working knowledge of PET, BI, SAP and monthly finance reports, EVM -lite - concepts and management.
Brief program progress and issues directly to customer technical and program representatives, internal senior and executive management.
Have working understanding of aircraft powerplant, electrical, SW, navigation, GCS, flight control and payload systems.
Proactively engage with engineering, SW, tech pub and CM processes.
Travel to high desert test facilities including NAWS China Lake to monitor ground and flight test events as required.
Support multiple groups within a matrix organization, including engineering, programs and finance with scheduling and prioritization to ensure timely customer support.
Participate with engineering to establish design concepts, criteria, and engineering efforts for product development, testing, and integration.
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, planning, and quality departments to develop solutions to customer requirements and timelines.
Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to employees working on assigned project.
Coordinate requirements and execution with internal and external customers and suppliers, design, manufacturing, marketing, quality, reliability, test and procurement.
Other duties as required.

Job Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS: Typically requires a Bachelor 's, or Master 's in engineering, science or related technical field as well as eleven or more years of progressively complex experience in the project administration field with at least five of those years in managing programs. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
Must demonstrate an extensive understanding of project management processes and procedures, planning and scheduling methods, and budget management as well as the ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate workloads to meet established milestones and budgets.
Must possess: (1) the ability to initiate, plan, and manage projects; (2) the ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop solutions to a variety of non-routine matters of diverse scope and nature; (3) strong analytical, communication, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills; and, (4) the ability to work independently and lead in a team environment.
Must be able to work extended hours and travel as required.
Must be a US Citizen.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance and Customer Clearance.
