About The Position We are seeking a highly skilled Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Nov 3, 2025. This role involves a 40-hour work week, including some weekends and federal holidays, in a fast-paced urgent care setting that mirrors an emergency department environment, minus a crash cart. Facilities include CT, Ultrasound, and labs on-site. Job Details - Location: California - Start Date: Nov 3, 2025 - LOA: 120 days - Provider Type Needed: Urgent Care Physician Assistant - Schedule: 40 hours / week, includes some weekends and federal holidays Responsibilities and Duties - Provide comprehensive urgent care in a high-acuity environment - Treat a broad range of conditions from simple to complex urgent health issues - Perform diagnostics and treatments using on-site CT, Ultrasound, and laboratory tests - Manage care for patients of all ages, including newborns - Ensure adherence to national certification standards and maintain certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS (all AHA) Additional Information - Required Board Certifications in Family Medicine - Must hold a current Physician Assistant license in CA - Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Emergency Department required - Must be able to handle the full scope of urgent care duties effectively Benefits - Strong compensation - Travel-related expenses covered - A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided - Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
