Director of Information Technology Services Job ID 2020-1239 Job Locations US-CA-El Cajon Job Category Information Technology Overview Taylor Guitars is looking for an experienced Information Technology Services Director to oversee all IT areas within our company. This person will coordinate and lead the company of strategic deployment of digital platforms to help drive company growth and efficiencies across all functional areas. In this role, your key responsibility will be the companywide adoption of new IT systems and policies. This includes both successful adoption of new systems/technologies as well as their implementation.

The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge in Information Technology, computer systems and security, ERP/CRM systems, and software development, and will be experienced in creating and implementing cross-department IT policies and systems to meet business objectives.

We are in need of a candidate with a solid technical background who also has the ability to coach and motivate a group of eight self-directed team members.

Responsibilities Success factor of the position:

Three month goals:

Develop technology review, cost analysis and deployment plan required migrate the organization to an Office 365 environment.

Six month goals:

Migrate existing hand held technology application from Microsoft Mobile technology to Android platform.

Migrate current Build to Order application to new solution independent of Portals.

Nine month goals:

SysPro 8 ERP Migration effort with a new shipping middleware platform.

SysPro CRM roll out and adoption in Sales and Artist Relations teams.

Within year one:

Develop technology review, cost analysis and deployment plan required to move the organization into a Hybrid Cloud infrastructure environment.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

• Oversees all Information Technology operations to include staffing, service, infrastructure and development across three sites. Manages IT department operational and strategic planning, including business requirements, project planning, and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources. (Examples: Computer networks, IT security, connected devices (computers/laptops/mobile devices), Help Desk Services; ERP/CRM systems; Software Development).

• Formulates and deploys long-term strategic plans for acquiring and enabling efficient and cost-effective information processing and communication technologies.

• Develops business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives. Proposes strategic solutions and recommend new systems and software.

• Directs research on potential technology solutions and implementations in support of new initiatives, opportunities, and procurement efforts.

• Meets with outside department Directors/Managers to analyze business requirements and technology needs. Prepares and manages IT related budgets and expenditures.

• Where necessary, re-engineers applications support to ensure it aligns with business processes, tactical planning, and strategic vision.

• Defines and communicates project milestones, service level agreements, and resource allocation to executive team, department leads, support staff, and end users.

• Develops and reviews budgets for and from IT department divisions and ensure they comply with stated goals, guidelines, and objectives.

• Reviews performance of IT systems to determine operating costs, productivity levels, and upgrade requirements.

• Builds and maintains relationships with external vendors.

• Works with the IT Services Supervisor to ensure service requests are resolved in a timely manner.

• Coordinates of yearly PCI compliance review/submission process through Trustwave.com.

• Develops bid requirements for all hardware and software upgrades, review submitted bids for compliance with stated requirements, and make the appropriate award.

• Authorizes and oversees the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, and support of all hardware and software, based on department needs.

• Oversees provision of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services.

• Develops and implements all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.

• Oversees negotiation and administration of vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements.

• Manages IT staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.

• Establishes and maintains regular written and in-person communications with the organization’s executives, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent IT activities.

Qualifications Education & Experience: BA/BS in Computer Science, CIS, or related. Master of Business Administration with technology as a core component - preferred. Required. hands on experience in IT field. 7-10 years’ experience in network and systems administration is required.

Additional Requirements: Proven experience as an IT Director or similar role. Proven experience in working across departments to achieve successful adoption of ERP and CRM systems. Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of Business and IT systems and their specifications. Must have an understanding of IT Security, computer systems (hardware/software), networks etc. Experience in controlling information technology budget. Excellent organizational and leadership skills. Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities.
