That's why Hemmersbach is The Social Purpose IT Company.Your TasksWe are seeking an L2 data center technician to be on-boarded to work 3 half days a week at a data center. Technician will provide hands and eyes support as needed by network and date storage team.Our Requirements1. Typically, 2-4 years of experience in working in a networking and Data Center environment2. Associates or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, graduate from technical school or equivalent work experience3. CompTIA A+, Networking+ certifications or equivalent4. CCNA, MCSE or similar desired but not required (strong consideration for past work experience in lieu of certifications5. Working technical knowledge, in order to address service work orders for EUC devices, telecom, servers, storage equipment, networking and data center equipment, and UPS maintenance6. Ability to install, rack and stack networking and data center equipment. Equipment lifecycle support, closet access & security, closet cleanliness7. Ability to configure routers, switches and perform tape back-ups.8. Ability to plan, implement, and monitor computer and printer/scanner networks (e.g. file server)9. Troubleshoot basic network and Data Center issues and understands the administering of servers, storage, switches, routers, and firewalls10. Knowledge of Data center and application architecture support11. Ability to plan, implement, and monitor computer and printer/scanner networks (e.g. file server)12. Troubleshoot basic network issues and understands the administering of switches, routers, and firewalls13. Knowledge of backup, tape, and exchange infrastructures14. Strong verbal and written communication skills (e.g. reporting), with the ability to run workshops for information collaboration15. Manage, liaise and escort with third party Providers as required.16. Works on projects of moderately medium-complex scope, and able to work with intercompany teams17. Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures18. Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations19.
