Overview:
The Sprinter Upfitter/Fabricator -installs accessories on Sprinter - Roof racks, Side and rear ladders, Steps Wheels, Light bars, Spot Lights and is responsible for maintaining production equipment to ensure the daily production requirements For Sprinters meets all requirements.The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and indirectly relevant experience: experience working with automation equipment, mechanical repairs, working toward a related degree or certification. An unrestricted driver's license and a clean driving record and strong physical dexterity and stamina to get the job done are required. He or she must be able to work productively in a fast-paced team environment and must have a positive attitude, professional appearance, great communication skills, and the ability to deliver world class customer service. Responsibilities:
Ability to properly size circuit conductors, circuit protector devices, ability to run conduit if needed, install electrical equipment, wire and unwire equipment as needed.Install accessories, sprinter roof racks, rear ladders, step wheels, light bars and spot lights.Perform repair work including necessary disassembly and re-assembly of equipment.Perform equipment PM tasks to ensure manufacturer recommended specifications are maintained.Maintains repair and maintenance records.Must understand how to use VOM and other testing related equipment to identify electrical problems.Identify and analyze errors and malfunctions as they relate to installed equipment.Ability to troubleshoot issues. -Participates in regularly scheduled team meetingsInteract with fellow team members to ensure production installation meets all expectations.Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
2+ years relevant experience.High School Diploma or GED required.Indirectly relevant experience: experience working with automation equipment, mechanical repairs, working toward a related degree or certification.Ability to perform the essential functions of the job.Basic computer skills required (i.e. Microsoft Office, email).Strong communications skills (listening, speaking, writing)Previous industrial maintenance experience in body, paint, or assembly in automotive manufacturing is strongly preferred.
