FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Reports To: Managing Partner, Service Manager, Assistant Service Manager, Key hourlies, and Bar Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

Job Purpose: A Bartender ensures all bar guests are receiving legendary food and service during their shift. They are also responsible for ensuring all guests in the dining room receive their bar beverages in a timely manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential Functions Statement(s)

Ensures that each guest receives legendary service during their dining experience. Uses the POS (point of sale) system effectively and correctly. Follows all steps of service throughout the dining experience. Suggests specific food and beverage items through use of salesmanship. Utilizes proper glassware, garnishes and recipes when making drinks, i.e. utilizes jiggers. Upholds and enforces state liquor laws. Shows concern for cost and inventory. Understands and effectively utilizes first time guest program. The ability to carry a tray and bus bucket. Practices safety and sanitation at all times. Restocks bar items and changes kegs if needed throughout the shift. Ensures all fruit and garnishes are prepped and cut prior to the shift. Completes proper opening and closing duties as per unit. Handles all cash, credit, and gift cards received during the shift and properly accounts for all monies at the end of the each shift. Adheres to core values; passion, partnership, integrity and fun with purpose. Maintains proper etiquette with all staff members and guests. Exhibits teamwork at all times. Participates in contests and line dancing during each shift. Has the ability to have fun at work. Maintains proper uniform and hygiene standards at all times.

Server/Bartending experience a plus. Fast paced, high energy. Outgoing and personable. Attention to detail. Clean and organized. Multi-tasking is a must. Ability to communicate in the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
