Pay Rate: $38.19 - $45.14 per hour

About the Role

A-Line Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Demand Planner to join the team at a leading medical device company in San Diego, CA. This contract position plays a critical role in managing the global demand planning process, driving forecast accuracy, and aligning demand with strategic business objectives. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative communicator with strong analytical skills, capable of working cross-functionally to support the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the monthly Demand Management Process and integrate its output into the Sales and Operations Planning process.


Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Manufacturing, and Global Supply Planning to consolidate global and regional forecasts.


Work directly with global business regions to ensure demand alignment with business strategies, including OEM products.


Conduct detailed forecast development by SKU and provide supporting analysis.


Facilitate and lead monthly Demand Consensus and Global Demand Review meetings.


Drive lifecycle planning and collaborate on new product introductions with Marketing.


Monitor and manage forecast performance metrics and escalate exceptions to appropriate S&OP forums.


Support continuous improvement initiatives and SAP/APO system efficiencies.


Participate in regional/inter-regional supply reviews and engage with distribution partners to enhance demand visibility.



Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong understanding of statistical forecasting methods and global demand planning best practices.


Solid grasp of Supply Chain processes, including demand/supply/production planning, product deployment, and inventory control.


Experience coordinating cross-functional activities in a manufacturing environment.


Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to interact effectively across functions and senior leadership.


High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems (SAP/APO strongly preferred).


Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.



Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.


3-5 years of experience in manufacturing and/or demand planning.


APICS certification preferred.



This is a hybrid role requiring on-site presence 4 days per week.
